FAQ
Question:
“Kelly, do you mind if I cut my own bangs at home?”
Answer:
I would rather you came in and let me do it, but if you must do it at home, don’t screw them up. If you don’t look good, I don’t look good. If you make me look bad… Well, you do the math.
Question:
“Kelly, my husband can’t get home from work in time to watch the kids. Can I bring them in with me?”
Answer:
Yes, as long as you bring suitable restraints. If they touch my things, there will be trouble. You might like to coach them into relaying some charming anecdotes for my entertainment while they are in my salon. That way, they might even be welcome back! (Also, please be aware that I have 100 year old dead animals all over my shop. I have good explanations ready, should they ask questions, but if they relay these stories in their classrooms, that is not within my control. What happens at Kelly Haigh Colour & Hair…
Question:
“Kelly, you’ve been so kind in getting back to me so quickly, and getting me in before my important event. Is there anything I can bring you to say thanks?
Answer:
Sure! Thanks for asking! I love iced nonfat lattes. For your convenience, there is a Starbuck’s AND a BG Cafe RIGHT OUTSIDE the front door of my building! I don’t like any syrup/sweetness added. As you know, I am sweet enough.
Question:
“Kelly, do you provide coffee or tea at your shop?”
Answer:
No. See above question and answer. As well as grabbing my drink, please feel free to grab something for yourself! The selection will be much better! My time is better spent making you beautiful, than making you a drink.
Question:
“Kelly, I’m not sure how to say this, but you’re a bit of an asshole. How is it that you are still in business?”
Answer:
My mother asks that same question. If you figure it out, let her know. I must be pretty good at my job. It can’t be my personality that keeps people coming back. <— Self awareness.
